We are seeking a dynamic and proactive AV and Performing Arts Technician to join our team and provide essential support for the Drama and Music departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering AV applications across the Foundation, maintaining technical operations for concerts, performances, and theatre productions, and ensuring the smooth running of all AV-related activities within the school.

The successful candidate for this role must possess a strong understanding and hands-on experience with various AV setups, including sound, projection, and live streaming technologies. They should be proficient in using lighting and sound desks, ideally with specific familiarity with the Chamsys Q20 and Behringer X32 consoles. A solid foundation in technical theatre is essential, with practical experience in rigging, focussing, and cabling. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have specialist qualifications or relevant experience in operating and maintaining technical equipment used in live events and productions. Their ability to troubleshoot, adapt to dynamic environments, and ensure the smooth running of AV systems is crucial to success in this position.

Key areas of responsibility for this role will include supporting assemblies, lectures and other events (including for PSHEE, Open Morning, Open Evening, and other marketing events) by undertaking responsibility for all AV setups (including projection, video recording and/or sound when required).

The successful candidate will have the ability to work on their own initiative, plan, organise and determine priorities to meet tight deadlines, have excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail and have a willingness to work flexibly within a team to collaborate towards common objectives. Prior experience in an educational setting is desirable.
