Reporting to the Head, the role of Director of Finance and Operations is critical to the financial operations and smooth running of all the school’s support functions. You will be a key member of the SLT, contributing to developing and implementing the school’s vision, strategy, and business and operational performance.
The appointed Director of Finance and Operations will be a well-qualified, enthusiastic and adaptable individual who will lead with confidence, energy and clarity on the financial, operational and administrative management of the school. They will oversee the organisation and smooth running of the non-teaching aspects of the school as well as assist the Head with the long-term strategic development and planning for the whole school.
The successful candidate will be an individual of proven senior leadership ability, a strategic thinker and able to establish highly effective, collaborative working relationships with Governors and colleagues at all levels. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exceptional financial acumen and robust commercial judgment will be essential.
Applicants will need to have a genuine interest in and empathy for education, however prior school bursar experience is not a pre-requisite.
