Somerhill is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Head of Engineering to contribute to whole school strategic development planning, ensuring engineering initiatives align with the school’s broader academic and co-curricular vision.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for science, technology, engineering, art, and maths (STEAM), and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential. The successful applicant will also be required to deliver engineering lesson as well as another STEAM subject to KS2 and KS3 pupils up to scholarship level.

The role reports to the Assistant Deputy Head, Co-curricular. This role combines strategic leadership, department management, and high-quality classroom teaching, requiring a collaborative leader with the ability to innovate and raise standards across the curriculum.
