An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional candidate to join the School as a member of the Senior Leadership Team in the role of Director of Sixth Form, from September 2025. The vacancy has arisen due to the promotion of the current postholder to a Deputy Head position, and is an ideal role for someone aspiring to Deputy Headship in the future. Working closely with the Senior Deputy Head (Academic), the Deputy Head (Pastoral) and the Assistant Head: Higher Education and Careers, the Director of Sixth Form is responsible for the provision of a high quality, stimulating and stretching sixth form experience which will serve our students well in higher education and set them up for happy, effective lives beyond formal education. They will be committed to the continued close alignment of the academic and pastoral sides of school life, maintaining a dynamic and proactive understanding and appreciation of the current and future needs of students. The successful candidate will join a thriving Sixth Form and an experienced and forward thinking Senior Leadership Team

The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience. Although we will consider candidates from any of the subject specialisms which we offer, applicants must have taught up to Key Stage 5. Experience of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme would be advantageous.

The preliminary round of interviews will take place on Wednesday 22 January 2025 with final round interviews likely to take place the following week.

All staff working in the School during the school day will have contact with children and will therefore be in regulated activity. As a teaching member of staff you will be working directly with, and be responsible for, the children that you teach.
