The role of Teacher of History (Maternity Cover) is a 0.8 position (over 5 days with Tuesday afternoon off). It is available from January 2025, but the school would welcome applicants to indicate if they are able to start earlier than this - should notice periods allow. It is expected to be a 12 month contract until 2026, but the school would also welcome candidates who can work from January 2025 to July 2025. The post holder will be required to teach across all key stages, up to and including A Level, and to support students in their preparation for university applications.
As in all subjects at Withington, excellent examination results are achieved by a combination of the pupils’ high academic ability and the intellectually stimulating and rigorous manner in which they are taught.
