The role of Head of English is available from September 2024 or January 2025 depending on notice period. The post holder will be expected to manage Departmental staff in order to promote the subject and to lead the teaching of English across the age and ability range up to and including Year 13.

As a Head of Department at Withington, it is expected that you will go ‘above and beyond’ to enhance the quality of teaching and learning by sharing good practice, resources and ideas. The Head of Department will maintain a warm and supportive atmosphere that provides balance to the dedication, diligence and high expectations expected from Withington staff.
