The Role

The Head of Admissions and Events plays a vital role in building strong relationships with prospective families, delivering a high-quality, personalised experience that supports each child and their parents from initial enquiry through to their first day at Aldwickbury. This position is central to the pastoral care of families during the admissions journey and is responsible for all aspects of pupil recruitment and the full admissions process. A key part of the role involves proactive, effective communication with prospective parents, pupils, nurseries, and other important stakeholders across the school.

In addition, this dual role carries overarching responsibility for the planning and delivery of key events throughout the school year, ensuring they are well-organised, engaging, and aligned with the school’s values.

Our School

Aldwickbury is a leading independent day and flexi-boarding Pre-Prep and Prep School located in 20 acres of grounds on the outskirts of Harpenden in Hertfordshire.

Recently awarded Independent Boys' School of the Year, Aldwickbury is celebrated for its outstanding educational provision and strong pastoral values that underpin its success. The school seeks to build on this, as it embarks on the next chapter of its development. From September 2025, girls will be welcomed into the Pre-Prep (Reception -Year 2) and will then progress through the school year by year.
