Aldwickbury School is seeking an outstanding Violin Teacher to join our flourishing Music Department from September 2026.
The successful candidate will deliver individual violin lessons across the Prep School, teach three class music lessons and lead an ensemble group. We are looking for an engaging, enthusiastic and highly skilled musician who can inspire pupils of all abilities and nurture a lifelong love of music.
Music is a highly valued and integral part of life at Aldwickbury. Our flourishing department delivers around 250 individual music lessons each week and offers approximately 12 ensembles, providing pupils with a wide range of opportunities to develop their musical talents. Pupils perform regularly in lessons, informal concerts and end-of-term performances, while a variety of productions throughout the year involve children of all ages.
The passion and expertise of our teaching staff inspire pupils to engage enthusiastically with music, resulting in growing participation in instrumental lessons and co-curricular activities. Many pupils have gone on to achieve music scholarships and awards at their 13+ destination schools.
This is a part-time position of up to one day per week (approximately seven hours), term time only. There is flexibility within these hours, which can be discussed at interview.
