Summary

Bancroft’s, one of the country’s leading co-educational day schools, are looking for a full-time Teacher of PE for a one-year maternity cover, to help to build on the current sporting success enjoyed by the Prep School.

Detail

Required from September 2025.

We are an academic school but we believe firmly in educating the whole child and that sport- both elite sport and ‘sport for all’- is integral to this. Our teams compete at an impressive standard, including in national competitions. We also believe that it is important to imbue all our children with a lifelong enthusiasm for participatory sport.

As a Teacher of PE, you will demonstrate an ability to work cheerfully and effectively with our age group of children. Extra-curricular activities and clubs are a big part of life at our school and as Teacher of PE, you will need to take an enthusiastic lead in this area too.

We create a happy learning environment, where bright children are challenged and supported to become the best versions of themselves. We are committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community - a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit. We offer a generous benefits package, including a competitive salary, and have a commitment to supporting ongoing professional development.
