1:1 Learning Assistant – Fixed Term

Hours: 37.25 per week. 7.25 hours for 4 days, 8.25 hours for one day (to support at a club) - We would potentially consider job share/part time for the right candidates.

We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Learning Assistant to join our friendly team, providing tailored support to help a child succeed both academically and emotionally. This role is key to helping them build strong foundations in their learning and confidence during these crucial early primary years.

This is a full-time, term-time only position on a 1-year fixed term contract, with strong potential for renewal. It’s a great opportunity for someone with relevant qualifications or experience who is passionate about nurturing and guiding young learners.

Weeks : 35 per year

Start Date: January 2027, potentially earlier for the right candidate.

In this role, you will:

1. Work closely with a child in EYFS, providing tailored 1:1 support to help them thrive emotionally, socially, and academically
2. Collaborate with the EYFS team and SENCo to deliver engaging, inclusive learning experiences
3. Foster a safe, caring, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and growth
4. Support the child in developing confidence, independence and essential early skills

We’re looking for someone who is:

1. Early Years Educator Level 3 or equivalent (essential)
2. Passionate about working with young children, particularly in a 1:1 support role
3. Kind, patient, and nurturing with excellent communication and teamwork skills
4. Organised, flexible and able to respond to individual learning needs creatively
5. Knowledgeable about safeguarding and committed to supporting the wellbeing of all pupils
