Caldicott is one of the country’s most prestigious Independent Boarding and Day Preparatory Schools for Boys. We are a flourishing school with around 250 boys from 7 to 13 years old, with a five-day week in Year 3 and Year 4 and Saturday School from Year 5, with Flexi Boarding (1st to 4th Form/Years 3 to 6), Weekly, Full Boarding or Day Plus options (5th and 6th Form / Years 7 and 8). An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic ALAMDA (Acting, Speaking, and Listening) teacher to deliver high-quality lessons one day per week. They will cover a range of the LAMDA syllabus fostering confidence, communication skills, and performance ability in our pupils.
The successful candidate will:
· Have the ability to inspire, nurture and give children confidence in the dramatic arts;
· have a passion for all aspects of teaching speech and drama;
· have a proven track record of success teaching drama, speech or the LAMDA syllabus;
· be equally at home teaching those who find the subject hard and those who work at a level above their age group; and
· have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
