We are offering a 1 year fixed term cotnract for a Matron Assistant, covering 10 hours over Monday and Fridays.
We have a vacancy for Matrons’ Assistant for 1 academic year to cover Maternity leave to work in our boarding houses. We are looking for someone to cover 10 hours a week to be worked on Mondays and Fridays.
The successful candidate will join a team headed by two resident House Parents, House Tutors, Resident Matrons and existing Matrons’ Assistants to help look after approximately 90 students within the boarding house. Duties include the sorting, checking and repairing of pupils’ clothes and laundry; assisting the on-duty Matron with pastoral care duties and administering medication under supervision (for which training will be provided).
Sensitivity, good organisational skills, flexibility and the ability to work with others are essential to carry out this role, as is being able to sew and use a sewing machine.
We offer an attractive remuneration package: basic salary of £12.71 ph. plus holiday pay, free on-site parking, low-cost membership of the on-site Sports Centre, Employee Assistance Programme and some meals are provided whilst on duty, during term time.
