Maintenance Supervisor

Full time: 40 hours per week.

Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience).

Downe House is a leading independent boarding school for girls aged 11-18, based in the village of Cold Ash near Thatcham. Our aim is to provide pupils with a wealth of academic, pastoral and co-curricular opportunities to allow them to grow into confident young women prepared to take on the world.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to join our Estates team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled facilities professional to play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant and well-maintained environment across our extensive school estate. Working within a leading independent boarding school, you will help ensure that our buildings, services and facilities continue to support an exceptional experience for pupils, staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical maintenance expertise with excellent organisational and leadership skills. Working closely with the Head of Maintenance & Facilities, they will oversee statutory compliance, health and safety, contractor management and maintenance operations, whilst providing supervision and support to the wider Estates team. They will be committed to high standards, continuous improvement and ensuring that the School remains safe, compliant and operationally effective at all times.
