Learning Support Teaching Assistant - Term Time Only- Full and Part Time applications considered.

Downside School has a vacancy for a Teaching Assistent to join a team of specialist Learning Support teachers at Downside School.

In collaboration with the Learning Support team, you will be required to support pupils and staff with lessons which will involve a combination of 1:1 sessions, small groups assessment and other tasks as directed by the Head of Learning Support. It is essential that the appointed person is passionate about helping pupils with a range of learning difficulties to develop as learners in a highly supportive and academically ambitious school environment.

You must be comfortable supporting the secondary school GCSE curriculum. Our latest ISI inspection report states that the quality of pupils achievement and learning is excellent and the quality of teaching is excellent overall. The successful candidate should possess the drive and determination to enthuse all pupils to reach the highest standards.

The Learning support team is a friendly department, and we can offer some flexibility as to how the hours are worked to take into consideration pupils needs and also the candidates needs. Please indicate any preferences you have on the working pattern within your application.
