We are currently seeking to fill the position of Teacher of Art and Design .
Erskine Stewart’s Melville are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Art and Design to join the Art and Design Department at the ESM Senior School on a permanent basis from 17 August 2026 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). This is a permanent, part-time role, working equivalent to 0.24FTE of a full-time teacher. The salary range for this position is £8,532 to £12,358. Remuneration is dependent on skills and experience.
The purpose of the role is to teach Art and Design to at all year group levels and contribute to the School’s extra-curricular programme. This is a varied role, delivering a broad curriculum using a wide range of media, techniques and process including but not limited to drawing, painting, printmaking, 3D work, photography and/or digital art.
The successful candidate must be GTCS registered, or eligible for registration, with the relevant subject specific teaching degree. They will be passionate about Art and Design and will support the department to collaborate, create and build a successful subject offering to all students of the Senior School as well as contribute to extra-curricular Art and Design activities, exhibitions and enrichment programmes.
