Felsted School - Global Operations Manager

Summary

The Global Operations Director will play a central role in turning programmes into successful day-to-day experiences for students, staff and visiting groups. The role requires excellent organisation, strong attention to detail and the ability to coordinate effectively across a wide range of School departments.

Detail

Felsted School is seeking an organised, proactive and practical Global Operations Manager to join our growing Global Education team.

Reporting to the Head of Global Education Programmes, the Operations Manager will play an important role in the successful planning and delivery of Felsted's international programmes, with particular responsibility for the operational delivery of the Felsted International Summer School and LEAP programmes.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys organisation, problem-solving and working with people.

The Opportunity The Operations Manager will help ensure that our Global Education programmes run smoothly, safely and efficiently. You will coordinate the practical detail behind programme delivery, working with colleagues across the School as well as external suppliers and partners. Your responsibilities will include programme logistics, staffing coordination, transport, excursions, accommodation, events, operational systems, risk-management processes and financial administration. During residential programmes, you will be a visible and important member of the operational team, helping to ensure that students are safe, well cared for and able to enjoy an outstanding experience. Further information about Felsted School can be found at www.felsted.org.

About You You will be a highly organised and proactive individual who takes pride in making sure that things happen smoothly and that the detail is right. You may already have experience in operations, programme coordination, events, hospitality, education, residential programmes or a similar environment. You will be comfortable managing several priorities at once and working to deadlines. You will have good communication skills and enjoy working with a wide range of people. Most importantly, you will be practical, dependable and willing to get involved. When plans change or unexpected problems arise, you will be someone who stays calm, thinks clearly and finds a solution. Experience of working with children or young people, residential programmes or international education would be advantageous, but is not essential.
