The Bursar (Finance and Compliance) is responsible for the leadership and management of finance and compliance within the school. They play a critical role in ensuring Holme Grange School meets and observes the wide variety of guidelines and regulations set by government agencies and the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).
The Bursar (Finance and Compliance) will work at a strategic level with the Headteacher and Governors to evolve and deliver the school’s strategy. The postholder will be responsible for the production of reports and briefing of Governors on financial and compliance issues, including the preparation of financial papers for meetings of Governors. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of financial management experience, ideally within a school or similar environment. This role will require a high level of attention to detail and discretion, the ability to be a team player is essential.
The postholder will join a team dedicated to the effective running of the School and will work collaboratively with colleagues across academic and support functions. They will demonstrate the wider context of support operations in our authentic, ambitious, courageous and inclusive learning community.
