Hurstpierpoint College - Cover Teaching Assistant

Summary

We are looking for reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to act as cover TA on an ad hoc basis. This is a flexible role offering the opportunity to work as much or as little as you wish, based around your other commitments.

Detail

The ideal candidate will be required to:

• Support the class teacher by assisting with pre-prepared lessons and providing feedback on pupil engagement and progress.
• Supervise and support pupils and help them to remain on task while ensuring that expected levels of behaviour and conduct are adhered to.
• Create an environment conducive to learning and be able to provide clear instructions on the work provided.
• Be adaptable and confident in interacting with different age groups and across a wide variety of subjects.
• Be reliable and have excellent time keeping.

Person Specification:

We are looking for someone who:

• Is calm, patient, empathetic, and adaptable to different needs and situations.
• Has extensive experience in a similar role within a primary school setting.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Has strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Is passionate about inclusion and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
