Kew College Prep is a thriving and forward-thinking UK Independent Prep and Pre-Prep school. We are seeking a welcoming, highly organised and professional School Receptionist to become the friendly face and a calm presence at the heart of our school community.

As the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors, the School Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.

The Role

Reporting to the Bursar, you will be responsible for:

Providing a warm, professional and efficient reception service to all visitors and callers
Managing incoming calls, emails and enquiries with discretion and confidence
Supporting daily administrative operations, including pupil registers, appointments and communications
Maintaining accurate records and handling sensitive information in line with GDPR requirements
Assisting with first aid and safeguarding procedures (training will be provided)
Supporting staff, pupils and parents with professionalism and empathy

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Is highly organised, calm under pressure and able to multitask effectively
Demonstrates discretion and professionalism at all times
Is confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and school management systems
Has previous reception or administrative experience (experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential)
Enjoys working with children and being part of a close-knit school community

Working arrangements

This role is term time based, working 38 weeks per year.

The required days of work are Tuesday to Friday, working 7.30am – 4.00pm each day. This equates to 32 hours per week.

The role is permanent and anticipated to commence from mid-February.
