Applications are invited from energetic and well-qualified teachers seeking to be part of this successful, popular and highly effective department.
Learning Support plays an integral, and well-respected role in supporting the education of pupils at King Edward’s School. The department has continued to build on the significant success, which was highlighted during our recent Independent Schools’ Inspection, with a level of learning support provision which remains highly valued by those pupils who receive it.
This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Learning Support teacher to join the school. Learning Support is hugely valued and a successful part of our school. With highly motivated and academically ambitious pupils, this role is a chance to champion Learning Support in a well-resourced environment. If you have a love of helping pupils and a desire to make a real impact on young lives, we hope that you will consider making an application.
It is desirable that the candidate possess a recognised qualification in SEND, SpLD or EAL and have experience in supporting pupils with specific difficulties and English as an additional language, from within the 11 to18 year old age group. An ability to teach younger pupils would be welcome but is not a requirement. We are an inclusive school and welcome applications from people of all beliefs and backgrounds.
King Edward’s School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening, which includes successful clearance of an enhanced DBS check, receipt of satisfactory references and a pre-employment health questionnaire. We are an inclusive school and welcome applications from people of all beliefs and backgrounds.
A willingness to make a meaningful contribution to the pastoral, extra-curricular and wider co-curricular life of the School is expected.
