King Henry VIII School are seeking an outstanding, forward‑thinking practitioner to lead the Learning Support Department and act as SENCo. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will ensure SEND provision runs through the school as a golden thread, embedding an inclusive culture of aspiration and high‑quality provision for all pupils.

The postholder will demonstrate a secure understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, and examination access arrangements (currently implemented by a teacher of SEND who is also an Exams Assessor) and will ensure the school meets its statutory and regulatory responsibilities through effective identification, support and review processes. They will work collaboratively with staff, families and external professionals, and contribute strategically to whole‑school development through heads of department discussions and professional leadership.
