Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver structured swimming lessons in line with national teaching standards Adapt coaching techniques to meet the needs of all participants Ensure the safety and well-being of swimmers at all times Promote a positive, fun, and inclusive learning environment Maintain accurate records of swimmers’ progress Collaborate with other coaches and staff to coordinate pool usage Assist with basic poolside duties and ensure the area is clean and safe

Person Specification

Strong swimming ability and certified coaching qualification (e.g., STA, ASA Level 2 or equivalent) Experience teaching swimming to a variety of age groups and skill levels Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to deliver high-quality customer service and respond positively to queries and concerns Understanding of health and safety legislation in a pool environment (training provided) Able to work independently or as part of a team Awareness of Safeguarding and the ability to follow established procedures
