We are seeking to appoint an experienced, committed and highly motivated Early Years Room Leader to join our Nursery team.

This is a key role within the Nursery, supporting the Nursery Manager in the effective day-to-day management of the setting and taking responsibility for the leadership, organisation and development of a designated room.

Key responsibilities:

to lead, organise and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a designated nursery room
to deliver high-quality early years education and care in line with the EYFS statutory framework
to create and maintain a safe, stimulating, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
to lead, support and develop staff within the room, promoting high standards of practice
to monitor planning, assessment and observations to ensure children’s individual needs are met
to ensure safeguarding and child welfare are central to all practice and fully compliant with statutory requirements
to maintain effective communication with parents, carers and colleagues
to contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the Nursery provision
to uphold and actively promote the Catholic ethos, Mission and values of the School

The successful candidate will be expected:

to have a clear understanding of, and a commitment to, the aims of a Catholic independent boarding & day school and be committed to the values expressed in the Mission & Ethos Statement
to have a relevant Early Years qualification (minimum Level 3), including QTS, EYPS or EYTS, or an equivalent recognised qualification
to have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
to have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the EYFS statutory framework, curriculum, assessment and current best practice
to have experience of delivering the Early Years curriculum and supporting others in its implementation
to have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills
to be able to build positive and effective relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues
to have high levels of personal and professional integrity
to be approachable, personable and confident, with excellent spoken English

New Hall School offers an exceptional working environment. The main campus occupies the stunning Grade I listed former Tudor palace of Beaulieu. The School’s conference and events venue is at the Grade I listed Boreham House, one mile away. New Hall is a warm, welcoming, and supportive community, with a staff of around 300.

Beaulieu Park railway station is at the entrance to New Hall’s Avenue: 30 minutes to Stratford and 38 minutes to London Liverpool Street. The Elizabeth Line at Shenfield (13 minutes by train) terminates at Heathrow airport. There are nearby airports: London Stansted, London Southend and London City.
