Teacher of Classics (Part time)

Required for January 2027

We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher to join our successful Classics Department at Queenswood School from January 2027. The Classics Department currently teaches Latin and Classical Civilisation from Year 7 to Year 13.

The successful candidate must be able to teach both Latin and Classical Civilisation at GCSE and A Level. This is a part time (0.5FTE) maternity cover post and is suitable for ECTs or experienced teachers.

The Classics Department is friendly and welcoming, with plenty of opportunities for professional development. Classics was recently noted in the Good Schools Guide review of the school as one of the most popular subjects in the school, and so we are looking for a new member to join this already successful department.

Queenswood is a GSA, BSA, HMC Boarding and Day School for girls aged 11-18 and is set in beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, easily accessible from North London.
