St Hugh’s is seeking to appoint an outstanding Head of Art to lead this vibrant and engaging subject. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge and understanding of the art curriculum, as well as the scholarship process. You will inspire pupils with art whilst helping to drive the ethos of the school which is to ensure that each child is able to discover what they are good at, to thrive and, therefore, gain confidence in themselves and be the best person that they can be.
St Hugh's is a highly regarded coeducational day and boarding school. We are situated on a beautiful green campus of 65 acres in the South Oxfordshire countryside, only 25 minutes from Central Oxford. In June 2025, the Headmaster and Governors announced that St Hugh’s would be opening a Senior School in September 2026. It is a very exciting time to be joining St Hugh’s.
The post holder will report directly to the Deputy Head Academic. This is a part-time position (0.63% FTE), working three days a week, with an opportunity to increase to full time in the future with the senior school expansion.
