We are currently seeking to fill the position of 1:1 Learning Support Assistant.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Stowe School as a Learning Support Assistant, working closely with a pupil who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).


In this new role, you will provide support both in the classroom and during one-to-one sessions in the Skills Department. You will play a key role in helping the pupil strengthen their academic skills, and develop greater independence in their learning by making effective use of assistive technology.


Working under the direction and guidance of the SENCo, Deputy SENCo, and class teachers, you will help set up and implement an individual learning programme, monitor progress, and provide regular updates to relevant staff and parents.
 
You will join a lively and enthusiastic team of support staff, who believe passionately in supporting our pupils to enable them to fully access the high quality of education on offer. This role is 12 month fixed term contract in line with parental funding (with a view to be extended if necessary).

Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding School with approximately 900 pupils. There are around 500 full and part-time staff with 60 staff and their families living on site. The Stowe Group of schools (Stowe, Ashfold, Swanbourne House and Winchester House) are situated on four separate sites in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire and educate children from 3-18 years.
