Role Description

The successful applicant will be required to undergo statutory pre-employment checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Responsible to: Director of Music

Hours of work: Casual, as and when required but expected to have a consistent list of lessons for the duration of the contract

Salary/Scale: £24.66 per 40 minute lesson

This is a casual role, required to cover a period of absence. This role is expected to be required for at least one term.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated singing teacher to join the visiting music staff at St Peter’s from January 2026. This role will suit a candidate who has a background in professional singing and experience of teaching pupils in the 8-18 age range.

There are pupil lists to cover at both St Peter’s 8-13 and St Peter’s 13-18 schools. Singing is an essential part of the Music School. Many of our pupils reach Grade 8 in Singing, and several have been awarded diplomas in recent years. We have very active choirs in both schools and barbershop groups for both boys and girls in St Peter’s School 13-18.
