At The Southover Partnership, we are looking for dedicated teachers who bring energy, optimism, flexibility and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of some of the most vulnerable young people.

Our Home Tuition provision supports children and young people with special educational needs who may not currently be able to access education within a traditional school setting. Many of our students have experienced disrupted educational journeys and require a highly personalised, nurturing and flexible approach to learning.

As a Home Tuition Teacher, you will provide tailored teaching during school hours, working with students in their home and/or another agreed public or community setting. Depending on the individual placement, students may be supported on a one-to-one or two-to-one basis, including working alongside a Teaching Assistant where appropriate.

You will build strong, trusting relationships with students while delivering engaging and appropriately differentiated learning that responds to their individual educational, social and emotional needs. You will work closely with colleagues, families and other professionals to help students make progress, rebuild their confidence and develop the skills they need for their next steps.

• Home Tuition teaching takes place during school hours, as agreed for each individual placement.
• Teaching may take place in the student’s home and/or another agreed public or community setting.
• Depending on the needs of the student, teaching arrangements may include working alongside a Teaching Assistant or other member of staff.
