We are currently seeking to fill the position of Cleaner (part-time, term-time only).

Detail

Required for: As soon as possible

Location: Dean's Yard - Westminster School

Hours of work: 16:30 – 19:30, Monday to Friday and 13:00 – 16:00 on Saturdays. This role is term-time only, plus two weeks required outside of term (one week at the beginning of July and one week at the end of August).

Salary: £14.33 per hour.

For this role, there is no fixed closing date. Applications will be considered on receipt, and interviews may occur at any stage.

To complete cleaning tasks and schedules in a timely manner as directed by the Head of Housekeeping or Supervisor in accordance with the cleaning specification and to the satisfaction of the client.
To control and maintain areas of work in a high standard of cleaning for a safe, comfortable and conducive environment all service users before and end of shift.
To always support and act in the interest of own safety and the safety of others, ensuring that the legal and school requirements are adhered to in respect of Health and Safety at work.
To ensure that all school standard, policies and procedures are always maintained and adhered to, In accordance with prevailing legislation, and cleaning practices and procedures.
To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, cleanliness and appearance always.
To demonstrate a professional, courteous and friendly attitude towards all colleagues and service users.
To be adaptable to the needs of the role.
To move all movables as per the cleaning specification directed by the Head of Housekeeping or General Manager.
Enjoys working in a hands-on role, with brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail, adhering to all tasks as stated in the cleaning specification of the boarding houses housekeeping manual.

Additional Responsibilities:

Undertake any reasonable task as directed by the Head of Housekeeping or Supervisor, which may on occasions be outside the normal daily routine.
Report all accidents, incidents, and sickness in good time following the school procedures.
Report promptly to the Head of Housekeeping of any working hazards or sub-standard equipment that could endanger or compromise your safety and the safety of others.
Communicate with the Head of Housekeeping and Supervisor any relevant feedback or information specific to the contract.
Guard against pilferage, misuse or abuse of all company or client goods and equipment.
Attend meetings and training courses as and when required.
Comply with BICSc regulations.
Comply with COSHH regulations.
Comply with Health & Safety regulations.

Site-specific duties:

Holidays may only be taken outside of school terms other than by special request.
To always observe Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures and to be aware of the correct reporting procedures in line with the School’s safeguarding Policy.
Practice a high level of customer service with due consideration to the age of our customers.
